It still baffles me as to why you have not come out with this?
Every Subaru aftermarket EM has this option, yet you lag behind.
Is there any hope? |

i am not sure if we are all fully aware of the amount of time is needed to even decode one identified parameter from the whole ECU program.
By chance i had the opportunity to take a look at one Subaru map with almost 1000+ parameters, all in hex form.
May be it is wise for Mervyn or Steve to shed some light on this matter so we all understand the difficulties of getting more parameters out of the ECU's maps.

Any chance you guys are gonna step up to the plate? If the JDM Suby has LC then we should too.
I don't know if anyone knows but I have a very high profile WRX (world's fastest stock block/stock transmission WRX) and I want LC to better my times. I don't want to leave Ecutek and go for a Cobb or Hydra so that I can get flat foot shifting and LC.
So at least can we get a reply or some form of update please? |

Well I waited over 3years in anticipation of Launch Control and nothing I switch to a full AEM stand alone to get Launch Control and other functions that I required and now I am stuck with a EcuTek locked ecu.
Thank you for that.
Is there a resolve for removing the ecutek flash and reverting it back to stock programing? |

Just reflash the ECU back to original file and you can do whatever you want with it. Besides, you are going with AEM. Why do you need the stock ECU?

Hi Guys,
I think you should check out the news section of the EcuTek web site - it is quite relevant to this thread.

Look for the below text in the news section: http://www.ecutek.com/news/
"RACE ROMs advanced features like Map Switching, Progressive Launch Control, Per Gear Rev Limits, Per Gear Boost Control and Full Throttle Shifting..."
"The new EcuTek RACE ROM features will be available for all Subaru Drive-By-Wire models in the new year." |

The new RaceROM features will support nearly all DBW models. Any EcuTeK dealer will be able to add these new custom features to your existing tuned ROM or create you a new tuned ROM. The EcuTeK dealer can then select which features you would like enabled in which mode (ROAD or RACE mode) You can have all the features in ROAD mode and all the features in RACE mode or only LC in RACE etc...

The article:
Kocar Time Attack race in Poland EcuTek is very pleased to announce that Kocar have won all 4 rounds of the Polish Time Attack race with their Subaru STI 08 tuned using EcuTek. The Time Attack car has been used in the development and proving of the soon to be released EcuTek RACE ROM product. By running the new and powerful EcuTek RACE ROM ECU setup, Kocar ensured they were competitive and dominating during all 4 events.
RACE ROMs advanced features like Map Switching, Progressive Launch Control, Per Gear Rev Limits, Per Gear Boost Control and Full Throttle Shifting ensured success over the competition, while running significantly less BHP than most other entrants.
The new EcuTek RACE ROM features will be available for all Subaru Drive-By-Wire models in the new year. The 4th round of the first elimination of Time attack Poland took place on Sunday the 18th of October 2009 on a very wet Pozna track (4.083km). Despite cold and rainy weather, 28 participants took part, competing in everything from modified Mitsubishi EVOs, Subaru Imprezas and Nissan Skylines to highly tuned Toyotas and Porsches. Kocar's relatively standard Subaru STI 08 recorded the best times despite have significantly less power and was able to win because of a great chassis set up and the powerful functionality that RACE ROM has enabled within the standard ECU.

modadict,
You are right we hoped to release in March.
but since there was a fire to the building next to EcuTeK building we had to move office twice and this has slowed down our development team. we are eager to release as much as you are.
Sorry for the delay. |
Cheers !

Ben, throw me a bone here............what's the estimated new release date?
Are you guys expecting this to be an "upgrade" as far as cost goes? I have already purchased Easy Ecu.
Do you need any help for increased Beta testing?
I have already started a thread informing people that this software will soon be released: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1974682
Thanks Ben,
Ryan
